How we collect, use, and protect data while running NeethiSuthra.
In short: we collect the minimum required data to run the product, we do not sell user data, and we keep legal research traceability as a core design principle.
1. What We Collect
- Chat queries and responses to provide session continuity and quality monitoring.
- Anonymous device/session identifiers for history and operational reliability.
- Technical telemetry for performance, errors, and service health.
- Authenticated Profile Information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your verified email address, full name, and profile picture URL.
- AI Interaction Data: Your queries and the generated responses are stored to provide chat history and for system quality improvement.
2. What We Do Not Collect
- No advertising trackers or cross-site profiling cookies.
- No sale of personal data to third parties.
- No sharing of identifiable data for marketing purposes.
3. Why We Use Data
- Serve and improve legal query answering quality.
- Debug incidents and keep infrastructure healthy.
- Process user-submitted feedback.
4. Third-Party Processing
To generate responses, your queries are processed through secure third-party Large Language Model (LLM) providers, including Google Gemini and OpenAI. We ensure that your data is not used by these providers to train their public models. No personally identifiable information (PII) is sent to these providers unless it is contained within your query itself.
5. Storage & Security
We apply practical security controls, including encryption in transit and access controls for operational data. No internet service is risk free; we continuously monitor and improve safeguards.
6. Your Rights & Retention
- Use the product anonymously where available.
- Request deletion or correction through our support workflow.
- Clear local browser data to reset anonymous session identity.
Data Retention: Anonymous session data is retained for 30 days. For registered users, data is retained as long as the account is active. Users may request account deletion via the feedback portal, which will result in the permanent erasure of all associated chat history within 14 days.
7. India Compliance
Our privacy posture is aligned to India's DPDP Act and IT Act principles including minimization, purpose limitation, and user rights handling.
